Entrance requirements:

Applicants must have college or university degree (minimum BA level) from any field of science and at least B2 level English proficiency.

 

The length of the course: 2 semesters

 

The number of credits to be collected to get the qualification: 60 credits

 

 

 

The aim of the course:

The aim of the Executive MBA for Diplomacy and International Organizations is to expand the knowledge either of the foreign staff of diplomatic bodies and experts in Europe about the EU (including Hungary) or of anybody who is interested in these fields and wish to work in such a profession in the future. In addition, its aim is also to develop their knowledge in international relations, economics, project management, law as well as their ability for strategic-thinking and their communication skills through a module-based course using personalized learning methods in an interactive environment. The course is suitable for those who are planning diplomatic professional career for themselves and intend to continue their studies in a Diplomatic Academy.

 

Professional competences:

  • has such communicative competences that enables him/her to solve organizational and management problems at various levels of international cooperation and diplomacy.
  • has knowledge about the operation of the international organizations and diplomatic bodies.
  • has knowledge in politology, law, social science, international economics and history necessary to his/her work.
  • is aware of economic, political and cultural phenomena of the international environment.
  • is aware of and uses the tools how to play efficient role in a multicultural environment.
  • knows the rules and ethic norms of cooperation within a project, team, professional organization as well as those of leading projects.
  • is able to use various forms of communication and knows several negotiation technics suitable in multicultural environment.
  • knows such leadership technics that can be used efficiently in multicultural environment.
  • knows methods how to adapt to the changing international social, economic and cultural environment.

Requirements of taking the final exam:

  • completing all the requirements set in the curriculum
  • completing the thesis under the supervision of the supervisor
  • submission of the thesis as well as the attachments approved by the supervisor and the opponents before the given deadline

 

Final exam includes:

  • oral exam in topics covered during the course
  • defence of the thesis.

 

Assessment of the final exam:

Based on the reviews of the two opponents as well as the thesis defence, a grade is given. In addition, another grade is given for the oral exam. The final result is the averagte of the two grades.
